Somerset, Ky. (March 7, 2017) — The UGN, Inc. Somerset facility has recently distinguished itself as the recipient of the Corporation for the Commonwealth Award.

This quarterly award is presented by Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes to one of numerous nominees who have demonstrated a commitment to corporate giving, a drive to improve local and/or regional social conditions, and a culture of giving within their organizations.

The Somerset facility opened in 2005 and is an extremely dynamic and fast-paced plant with more than 345 highly engaged and responsive team members who supply Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Subaru with superior acoustic insulation, carpet, and underfloor technologies.

Criteria for this distinguished award includes outstanding leadership, tireless efforts, and focused involvement in workforce development, education, and extensive participation in community activities and charities that strengthen the local community.

Secretary Grimes will present the Corporation for the Commonwealth Award after she tours the UGN Somerset plant on March 7.
