Our Injection Fiber Process technology applied to floor insulation allows our customers to shape their products to meet their most challenging applications

To support automobile manufacturers in the production of lighter, quieter and more fuel-efficient vehicles, UGN has deployed its process for the fabrication of lightweight floor insulators. The fully automated “IFP” production system is based on the Rotating Injection Fiber process developed by Autoneum. The basic material, a felt-fiber blend, is continuously injected into a component mold located in a rotating drum to create stable intermediate products which are subsequently converted into acoustic components.

The IFP process allows for virtually limitless shape, density and contour variation for floor insulator applications.
