TINLEY PARK, Illinois (May 7, 2015)—Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Cincinnati has recognized UGN, Inc., with a 2015 Growth Award. The award was presented May 5, 2015, in advance of the forthcoming opening of the new UGN plant in Monroe, Ohio. The $50 million auto supply manufacturing plant will employ 150 people and produce thermal and acoustic solutions for U.S. manufactured automobiles.
With these awards, REDI Cincinnati, a private economic development agency, recognizes not just companies that contribute to the Cincinnati area's economic growth, but also companies that demonstrate innovation within their industry.

Everything from the local community in Monroe, to the greater Cincinnati area, to the Governor's office has been very helpful in our ability to not only decide Ohio is the right place to grow but to make it a very successful growth opportunity for us."
The new Ohio plant will help meet an increasing need for underfloor and carpet technologies, which are being produced in the U.S. for the first time. The manufacturing facility has been designed so it can add additional capacity over time, as well as additional workers, with the eventual potential to employ more than 400 people
